8 years!

Hi Everyone,

On the 28th, Kurt and I celebrated 8 years. We are kind of nerdy in the fact that we celebrate all sorts of anniversaries. It is not our wedding anniversary. We celebrated 8 years of dating.  We started dating December 28th of 2003. A year later he proposed to me on our anniversary. Although we are cheesy, we don't go all out. For Christmas, Kurt's aunt gave us a gift card to Olive Garden so we took full advantage of it.

We had a nice dinner and had ice cream for desert, although it wasn't much, it was great because we spent the entire night reminiscing of the past 8 years. It seems like just yesterday! When you don't have kids, you try and take pictures on a timer, it makes me laugh because these are what we got.

Please do not mind our messy house, its real talk here people! Do you have any special dates you always celebrate?

XOXO,
Erica

New Neighbor Gift

Hi Everyone!

First, I just want to point out a new tab at the top called Our Puzzle, it is a new adoption idea! Let me know what you think!

Next, we live in a new neighborhood, there is an empty lot next to us an all over our neighborhood, it seems like we get new neighbors all the time. Well, I wanted to step out of our boundaries a little bit and make a sweet little neighbor gift for our newest neighbors. I made a package of brownies, put them on a plate and attached this sweet tag I found online (I can't remember where, sorry) Although they are super simple, I think they are super cute!

I just want people to feel welcome, sometimes it's hard moving into a new neighborhood. Have you made new neighbor gifts?

XOXO,

Erica

2012 Resolutions {Project Organization}

Hello Everyone,

With New Years quickly approaching, Kurt and I have talked a lot about what we want and set some goals for ourselves. One goal we decided to do is get organized, what better way to kick start the year then hosting a year long {Project Organization} Party with our readers. Each month we will have a project to organize, through out the month we will share tips, hints, what we did to accomplish the task. At the end of the month we want to hear from you so we will have a {Project Organization} Linky Party!

 Photobucket

We are still in the works with the little details, but so far, this is the list we have come up wtih

January: {Project Organization} Kitchen
February {Project Organization} Bathrooms
March: {Project Organization} Pantry
April: {Project Organization} Basement
May: {Project Organization} Closets
June: {Project Organization} Garage
July: {Project Organization} Master Bedroom
August: {Project Organization} Living Room
Septemeber: {Project Organization} Office
October: {Project Organization} Pictures
November: {Project Organization} Living Room
December: {Project Organization} Paper

What do you think? Granted, this list might and probably will change as time goes on, but this is a good rough draft for us. It will help us stay on task and get each room organized to the max, we have to keep ourselves busy while we wait for the phone call to change our lives with the adoption.

Some other New Years Resolutions for us:
1- Not going out to eat, unless it is a birthday or special occasion
2- Enjoy life more, it is so short and we don't want any regrets
3- Lose weight

What are some of your New Years Resolutions? Will you be joining us for {Project Organization}?

A very Hatch Christmas!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful, family filled Christmas. We sure did! We spent Christmas eve at my mom's house, all the family got together and we spent a lot of quality time eating, opening presents, and just enjoying company. I have a big family, so for all of us to get together

After that, we went up to Kurt's parents house to open up our pajama's. It is a tradition to get pajama's every year for Christmas. This year, Kurt's mom bought the girls and boys matching pajamas! :)

All in all, we had a very special Christmas. I love being able to spend time with our families, they are the biggest part of our lives. I am so grateful we are so close to them, all of them! How was your Christmas?

Christmas Partaaayyyy!

Hi Everyone,

Once again, forgive me for my lack of posts lately. With Christmas right around the corner, it is hectic in the Hatch life! Last Saturday we hosted our 2nd annual Christmas party here, the theme ugly sweater! It was a lot of fun! We served appetizers, stuffed mushrooms, chips and dips, drinks, and I took a lot of pictures of the festivities.

As I stated in my Confession I have a serious love for Tim Tebow. If you don't know about him, he is the Quarterback for our favorite team the Broncos. He is a devote Christian and isn't afraid to show it. One day, after the game against our rival's, and winning, he got down on one knee and prayed. This is now known across the nation as Tebowing. Sorry for the ramble, it will make sense in the pictures below:

Our best friend, yes I allowed him to climb up there

The lovely ladies

Bronco was a party animal

And my absolute favorite picture of the night, what I leave you with: Party Tebowing!

Bunco

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I have been a little MIA this week. It's been kind of crazy in the Hatch life. Last weekend we had our work Christmas party up at this beautiful cabin in the mountains. Kurt went to Wendover on Sunday night. I hosted Bunco last night and then we are hosting a Christmas party this weekend! AHH! I don't know if I can get everything done this week, but I will!

So, I hosted Bunco last night and it was a lot of work, but loads of fun. Our bunco group is pretty new, so we are all still getting to know one another, which I think makes it that much more fun. We made Cafe Rio Pork Burritos and a Salad. My prizes were SCENTSY of course. I didn't take any pics of the girls, but here is our set up before everyone got there.

Do you have any big parties planned? Any parties your attending?

XOXO,

Erica

Confession

Hi Everyone,

So, I have a confession, I have a serious serious obsession. Sometimes people think I am crazy, sometimes people just laugh at me, but I cannot deny it! My husband thinks its cute and oftentimes can be annoying.

So, as you already know we are die-hard Denver Bronco fans. We were both raised Bronco fans and it has been a passion of ours since day one of our relationship. We have been to two Bronco games in the past 3 years and we absolutely adore the city of Denver. That is where my obsession all started, well, it started last year during the NFL draft when we (Denver) picked a new Quarterback named Tim Tebow. When I saw him on TV I looked at Kurt and said "OOOHHH, he is good looking". He just laughed, and that is where it all started! I used to look at his videos on YouTube from college and just became fascinated with the person he is/was. He has morals, he has drive, he never ever gives up, and not to mention he is a very nice piece of eye candy!

Anyways, I love him, enough said. My sweet hubby knows it and he just giggles when I blow kisses to him during the game.

Well, last night, he came home with a box in his hand and said "I want you to open your Christmas present early". Although I was hesitant, who doesn't want an early gift so I opened my box and the best thing ever appeared:

My sweet hubby bought me my very own Authentic Tim Tebow Jersey! EEK,  I am sure all of my neigbhors heard me scream!

And so the obsession continues...

XOXO,

Erica

M&M Nativity Tutorial

Hi Everyone!

Be sure to check out the Scentsy Giveaway! Not alot of people have entered yet! :)

So, I have decided to try and watch our money spending more this holiday season and focus on what really matters and what Christmas is all about. I handmade all of my neighbor gifts this year and LOVE how they turned out. Here is a little how-to:

Supplies:

1- Quart Size Canning Jars- Any size will do, this is just what I used
2- Ribbon
3- Fabric
4-M&M- Any flavor

First fill the jars with the M&M's. I love using the holiday Christmas color M&M's.

Then take the M&M Nativity legend and make it pretty. I just simply glued it to some card stock and punched a hole in the top.

Once the jars are filled, I put some fabric on the lids, too. This just made it decorative. You can always void out the fabric and just simply use ribbon to save more money too!

After that, I simply added the card stock to the jars. So much fun!

All in all, each gift will cost me less than $3 each. I had the jars and cardstock on hand. I purchased the M&M's, fabric and ribbon!

What do you think? Are you doing anything this year to save some money on Christmas shopping?

XOXO,

Erica
