The weekend is planned!

So, this is what my house looks like at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon: 

 Our office, half way torn apart!

 Our kitchen, floor torn out and a MESS!

More kitchen! 

Yes, we know what our plans for the weekend are! Hopefully turning this back into a home! ;)

Under Construction!

Sorry for the delay in posts recently! As soon as we got back from Vegas, we were in the construction mood. Ever since the day we decided to build a house, we wanted beautiful hardwood floors, but I could not push myself to spend over $5k on the project. We found some beautiful floor at Costco, bought it, brought it home and it was a nightmare, after we ripped out our carpet and tried to install the "floating" floor, it did just that floated, it was not even all over the place. So we packed that back up and returned it right back to Costco. Thank goodness! I fell in LOOOOVEE with the floor we bought from our local Home Depot! MUCH better than Costco, and carries the name brand of Pergo!

Anyways, we are not 100% done, yet! But here are some messy work in progress pictures! :) Hope you enjoy!

Lampshade!

It has been one hectic week for us, Bronco (our dog) had Surgery while we were in Las Vegas. He was neutered and had his tale docked:

The surgery went great, but now we are stuck with this "lampshade" on him for the next two weeks. As you can tell by the LARGE amount of duck tape, that the thing is not made with the best material! :) I just had to share!

Home Sweet Home!

We made it home safely, It was a fantastic getaway, but very nice to be home. We arrived Tuesday afternoon and spent the evening with my dad, we went to the bar and did some kareoking, it was a blast.

Wednesday morning we spent the day helping my dad install a new kitchen sink, by noon we were ready to get our vacation started. We stayed at the Monte Carlo on the strip, it was a super nice hotel and in the middle of just about everything. Thursday we were able to attend a free show called the knights of the round table at the Excalibur. It is a mid evil show with a dinner and no silverware, it was a blast! Friday was our actual anniversary, we ordered breakfast in bed and took it easy. That night we did our annual tradition and went to the Melting Pot. Saturday morning we packed up and came home. We were anxious to get home and relax some more. Our dog Bronco had a big surgery so it was good to see him.

Yesterday was Superbowl and my brother and sister-in-law had a party, it was a ton of fun! Great people, amazing food, and an awesome game to watch! :)
