New Neighbor Gift

Hi Everyone!

First, I just want to point out a new tab at the top called Our Puzzle, it is a new adoption idea! Let me know what you think!

Next, we live in a new neighborhood, there is an empty lot next to us an all over our neighborhood, it seems like we get new neighbors all the time. Well, I wanted to step out of our boundaries a little bit and make a sweet little neighbor gift for our newest neighbors. I made a package of brownies, put them on a plate and attached this sweet tag I found online (I can't remember where, sorry) Although they are super simple, I think they are super cute!

I just want people to feel welcome, sometimes it's hard moving into a new neighborhood. Have you made new neighbor gifts?

A Quick Fix

Hi Everyone,

So as promised, I just wanted to show you a quick fix we did to our bathroom. After we were done, we both laughed about how we went so long without them before! Needless to say, we absolutely love our quick fix. We are going to do the same thing to our master bathroom, but we are on the fence about if we are going to paint the cabinets or not.

Here are the before shots, please keep in mind it is incredibly hard, if not impossible, to get a good photo of the bathroom:

 

On Black Friday, we were shopping through our local walmart when I stumbled across these bad boys: 

At five bucks a pop, we couldn't beat it! It was originally $8! SCORE.

Kurt started with the door handle, went in easily. The drawers, not so much. The screw wasn't long enough. After a few frustrations, he finally found a screw big enough to work!

No more Naked Wall

Hey Guys,

So since the start of our Adoption journey I knew it would be a LONG process. Therefore I decided I needed to stay busy so I was not constantly thinking about the time going by. I have had a blank wall, right when you walk into our house for some time now. I knew I wanted a photo gallery on there, but the process scared me, terribly! It's hard to hang a lot of pictures on a wall, in hopes they look good ;)

Anyways, when Kurt went out of town a couple of weekends ago, I started the process. Yes, here I am all by myself hammering away at the wall. Thank God I married a painter to fix them if I messed up. But I didn't! I was actually pretty proud of myself. Mind you, this wall is FAR from done. It is just a rough draft for now. I am still waiting for some pictures from Kurt's family to put up there too. But here is an update with pictures:

Closer Up! The pic with the turquoise mat will be changed to white soon!

I know it is not perfect, trust me I know! But, it is getting there. And it adds SO much character already to our plain wall. I love seeing it when I walk in the front door. Hopefully I will have it finished soon so I can show you the FINISHED project :)
